Jennifer Hunziker
December 1, 1976 - January 13, 2017

Jennifer Ann Albrecht Hunziker, 40, of Fairbank passed away on Friday January 13, 2017 at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo from complications of Lyme Disease. Visitation will be on Thursday January 19, 2017 from 4:00pm to 7:30pm at the Geilenfeld Funeral Home in Oelwein with a Rosary Service at 3:45pm. Services will be on Friday January 20, 2017 at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oelwein, with Father Paul McManus and Deacon James Patera officiating.  A memorial fund has been established by the family.

Jennifer was born December 1, 1976 in Independence the daughter of David and Debra (Van Daele) Albrecht. She graduated from Oelwein High School in 1995. On April 23, 2005 she was united in marriage with Bradley Hunziker in Fairbank.  Jennifer was the Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at Estes Agronomic Int’l. She also was a great mother and homemaker. If Jennifer had one fault it was always being late for anything she attended. She enjoyed a good story and she always told the long version, had a great memory and never forgot anything, which also worked well with her story telling. She was a big dreamer and fought a valiant and courageous battle against Lyme Disease the last seven years. Jennifer helped many others who suffered from Lyme Disease; but her greatest love was her family, they meant everything to her. Jennifer touched many lives and will be dearly missed by all.

Jennifer is survived by her husband Brad of Fairbank; her three children: Morgan, Brexton and Sadie; two brothers: Jason (Jamie) Albrecht of Hazleton and Quinn (Nicole) Albrecht of Indianola; parents Debra (Edward) Bormann of Oelwein and David (Kris) Albrecht of Fairbank; grandmother Angeline Van Daele of Fairbank; mother-in-law Patricia (Ed) Husmann of Independence and father-in-law Larry (Pat) Hunziker of Shellsburg and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents Arthur Van Daele, Herbert and Ilene Albrecht, Barbara and Mitch Mitchell and Roger Bormann.

Brad, Morgan, Brexton, Sadie, & Deb,
I want to pass along to you my deepest sympathy and most heartfelt condolences for the loss of your wife, mother, & daughter. Jenny meant the world to me, as she helped me through so many things. She became my inspiration and always will be!! I loved her dearly and will continue to do so! She was my angel on Earth and it makes me so happy to know that she'll be my guardian angel forever!!
I wish I could take the pain away from you all, and would in a second! Losing someone so special, so loving, so amazing, so selfless is the worst thing a person can go through! So I hope you all can find even the slightest bit of peace knowing just how important Jenny was to so many people, across the country and even beyond! She not only was an advocate against Lyme, but also for life in general. She helped me find strength I didn't know I had, and helped me to enjoy even the hardest days I dealt with!!
I'll NEVER forget all she has done for me, for my family!! I love her with all my heart, forever!!
My heart and prayers are with you all!
