Danielle Lehman
June 22, 1988 - September 6, 2018

Danielle Lehman, 30, of Oelwein passed away on Thursday September 6, 2018.  Celebration of Life services will be held on Sunday September 23, 2018 from 4-7 PM at Mona’s Firepit in Oelwein.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.

Danielle Leora Lehman was born on June 22, 1988 in West Union.  She graduated from Independence High School with the class of 2006.  She attended and graduated from Kaplan University in 2017 with her degree in Medical Coding and Billing.  Currently she was employed with B&B Construction and had been employed with Lone Pine Hog Confinement.

Danielle was just simply Danielle and thought nothing was impossible for the word itself says "I'm Possible." She had her own way of understanding things. Danielle was very passionate about her daughter Aylin, who she loved very much. Along with her fiancé, Tiffany, and her boys. Danielle loved her family and friends as well and would do anything to help anyone out. She loved to have gatherings with friends and family for cookouts, bonfires and enjoy a Corona around the fire. Any kid that came to her house was considered her baby, and no one changed her mind about that. To her, life wasn't about what you had but what was in your heart.

Danielle would enjoy a bowl of kale while watching her favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys. She liked to watch the TV series The Ranch and Sons of Anarchy.  She enjoyed gardening, decorating, and collecting signs for in and outside. She enjoyed to cook home cooked meals and had her own way of knowing if it was good or not. She also preferred to throw the hamburger on the ceiling before cooking it. She was full of life and enjoyed spur of the moment road trips, never knowing where she would end up. Sometimes she ended up at the casino to "pew pew" on the slots. She always had her cross on her rearview mirror so she was always protected by God.

Left to celebrate Danielle’s life is her daughter Aylin Gunningham; her fiancé Tiffany Watts of Oelwein and her children Chase Edmonds and Grayden Turner; parents David and Lorrainne Lehman of Brandon and Susan Fauser of Oelwein; grandfather Irvin Nyberg of West Union; her siblings: Patrick (Jill) Lehman of Brandon, Holly (Mike) Nichol of Brandon, Tanya Kapler of Oelwein, Nathan (Sara) Krum of Winthrop and Heather (Kenny) Frese of Brandon; many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her father Melvin Lightfoot, Sr. and her brother Melvin Lightfoot, Jr.

I am so very sorry for your loss of Danielle, even though I didn’t get to know her personally. Losing a loved one in death can be very heartbreaking for us to go through, as I’ve personally experienced. But something comforting that I’ve found is in the Bible where it promises us we will see our loved ones again soon. The account is found at Acts 24:15 which says,”There is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.” What a wonderful time that will be to be reunited with those we’ve lost. She was a beautiful soul. I remember her as one of my girl scouts in Quasky. Then I had the pleasure of her coming into my life as adult. She will be missed by many
