When I moved to Maynard in 1966, Ron immediately decided we would be friends. We read comics, played games, and just hung out together, and with Jim and Joe Slauson and Jim Hurd. I think we were almost the only 7th grade boys who lived in town. Ron made my transition to life in Maynard feel a little more welcoming. I wish I had known that he was a fellow soldier.
Thanks for your service, Ron, and for your friendship when I needed it.
My deepest condolences to his wife and son, and the rest of the family.
May your memories of happiness console you during the moments of your grief.

Thoughts and prayers to your family. My Mom Geri Bliss and Charlotte & Ralph were good friends for many years. I remember as a little girl going for visits and chatting with all of Charlotte's kids. Early years in Maynard. Thinking of you all.

I am so sorry to hear this. Ron was one of a very small select group -- members of the Class of 1972 who lived in town. We were lucky to have each other in such a tiny town. My heart and prayers go out to his family. He will not be forgotten. We will remember him at our next class reunion.
