Ricky R. Waterman, 61, of Fayette passed away on February 22, 2016 at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Friday February 26, 2016 at the Geilenfeld Funeral Home in Oelwein. Services will then follow at 5:00 PM with Carol Hamilton officiating.

Ricky R. Waterman was born on February 20, 1955 in Oelwein, Iowa the son of Orville and Lavearl (Lockard) Waterman. He attended the Oelwein High School and after graduating, joined the U. S. Army. He took his training at Ft. Leonard Wood in Missouri. After the service he began cooking for several different restaurants until his health began to fail. Ricky enjoyed travel and is believed to have been in all fifty states at some time in his life. He also enjoyed cards, listening to music and going out to eat. His family was important to him and they will miss him dearly.

Ricky is survived by his mother Lavearl of Sumner: his sister Lisa (Jeff) Smith of Sumner; his brothers: Leonard Waterman of Mesa, Arizona and Troy Waterman of Moline, Illinois and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Orville (1/3/1994).
