Richard Alan Short, 72, of Eagle River, WI and formerly of Oelwein passed away on April 25, 2015 in Eagle River.  A Celebration of Life will be on Saturday May 16, 2015 at St. Mary of the Snows Angelican Church in Eagle River: Visitation will be from 10-11:00 AM with the service to follow.  Memorials may be directed to the Vilas Food Pantry in Eagle River.  For condolences, please visit www.geilenfeldfh.com.

Richard was born on January 10, 1943 to parents Ray and Dorothy (Keniston) Short.  He graduated from Oelwein High School in 1960.  He was united in marriage with Linda Carstensen.  They had resided in Eagle River since 1983.  Richard will be remembered for his selfless work at the Vilas Food Pantry in Eagle River.

Left to celebrate Richard’s life is his sons: Ryan (Jodi) of Woodruff and Alex (Leah) of Columbus; his daughter Marion of Eagle River; his grandchildren: Bryce, Carson, McKenna and Payton.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Linda (2013).
