Patrick Ledesma
March 17, 1950 - January 16, 2025

Patrick (Pat) Ledesma, 74, of Waterloo passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday January 16, 2025 at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo.  Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 PM on Wednesday January 22, 2025 at the Geilenfeld-Buehner Funeral Home in Oelwein.  Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM on Thursday January 23, 2025 at the funeral home with Fr. Ray Atwood officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for a later designation.

Patrick Joseph Ledesma was born in Oelwein on March 17, 1950 to parents Felipe and Consuelo “Connie” (Lujan) Ledesma.  He attended Sacred Heart Catholic School in Oelwein.  On November 23, 1974 Pat was united in marriage with Kalene “Kay” Trebon at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fairbank. 

Pat was an avid Iowa Hawkeyes, Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs fan.  His most favorite pastime was spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Pat was a welder with CMC in Waterloo for many years, and then with XL Specialized Trailers in both Oelwein and Manchester.  Following retirement, Pat was employed with the City of Oelwein Parks Department.

Left to celebrate Pat’s life are his wife Kay; his children: Jerod (Ashley) Ledesma of Evansdale and Justin Ledesma of Superior, WI; his grandchildren: Mya Ledesma, Hunter Lang, Cambria Ledesma and Oliver Ledesma; his siblings: Paul (Ione) Ledesma of Waverly, Phyllis (Gary) Trumblee of Hazleton, Becky (Dwight) Garner of Coggon, Jesse (Pam) Ledesma of Oelwein, Tim (Sue) Ledesma of Oelwein and Tom (Terri) Ledesma of Oelwein; his sister-in-law Dawn Ledesma.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings: Frances Potter and Michael Ledesma; his nephews: Anthony Ledesma, Donny Ledesma and Adam Ledesma.
