Joshua Brennan, 42, of Oelwein passed away Thursday February 10, 2022 at MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines.  A Celebration Of Life will be held at the American Legion in Oelwein from 1:00-4:00 PM on Saturday March 12, 2022.  A memorial fund has been established. 

Joshua James Brennan was born in Iowa City on May 16, 1979 to parents Wade and Barbara (McGrane) Brennan.  He attended Wapsie Valley High School in Fairbank.  Josh was employed with Bertch Cabinets in Oelwein.

Within the years, Josh was an amazing Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle, Cousin, and Grandpa.  He stepped up to be a Husband and Father.  In his everyday life he went to work and came home to his loving family.  He enjoyed shopping, brownies, annoying his sister, watching action movies, and eating.  He loved the color red and grandmas sloppy joes.  His pride and joy was his family.  Josh will always be loved and never forgotten.

Left to celebrate Josh’s life are his wife Kamie Voges of Oelwein; his father Wade Brennan of Oelwein; his sister Tonya (Jeremy) Yauslin of Oelwein; his children: Katelyn Brennan, Austin Brennan, Dylan Voges, Kayla Voges and Alana Voges; his grandchildren: Oakley Brennan and Kash Heming; and his dog Hades Brennan.

Josh was preceded in death by his grandparents: Max and Charlotte McGrane, Bernard and Catherine Brennan; his mother Barb Brennan; his father-in-law Richard “Slim” Anthes and his mother-in-law Donna Anthes.
