So sorry to hear about Harry! My memory is like back in 1980 John and I had a toaster oven and no big oven, we wanted to make apple pies ! We went to Kmart parked in front of building because it was a snow storm! Harry came pulling in pretending to run in to us..... He hit a patch of ice and couldn’t stop!!! Luckily I w as oblivious and kept opening my car door and he slid into the edge of the door instead!! I was uninsured , my door had a boo boo!! Man did John chew him out!! My pie plates however did not survive!!!! But Kmart gave us a replacement set!! We all got a good laugh once we found out there were no human casualties!!! Rest In Peace our friend!

Our condolences to the Ritter family. Harry & Mary were the first people I meet when I came to Oelwein when Harry put my horses up for the weekend. It was a shock for us to hear the news. Wonderful, wonderful man!!!

Growing up down the road from Harry.... I cannot think of one memory of him that was not funny, entertaining, or a good parenting moment. He had the opportunity for a few good parenting moments with Jake and Joe around. I was there for a couple of them and learned a lot.

Harry will be missed, he had a laugh that could wake you from a nap a block away and a damn good heart to go with it.

Thank you for serving your country, being a great dad, friend and always being you. RIP Harry
