Gloria A. Strandberg, 84, of Oelwein, Iowa passed away Thursday, September 17, 2015 at her home. She was born on August 24, 1931 on the family farm near Angus, Minnesota, the daughter of Daniel and Gerda (Kulle) Filipi. She grew up in the area and graduated from Crookston High School in 1949. Gloria continued her education at Minnesota State University - Moorhead. She was a teacher in the Oelwein School System for 20 years, retiring in 1997. On July 16, 1961 she was united in marriage to Paul G. Strandberg in Warren, Minnesota and they had three children, Sarah, David and Susan. Gloria was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, all will dearly miss her.

Gloria is survived by her husband, Paul; her three children, Sarah (Richard) Fromm of Decorah, Iowa, David (Susan) Strandberg of Duluth, Minnesota and Susan (Nathan) Stacy of Rochester, Minnesota; four grandchildren, Elizabeth, Anna, Grace and Catherine; a brother, Glenn (Patricia) Filipi of Fargo North Dakota; and nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Gerda; a sister, Donna and a brother Donald.
