Freemont Fish
September 17, 1967 - January 20, 2018

Freemont Fish, 50, of Oelwein passed away on Saturday January 20, 2018 at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo following a sudden illness.  Visitation will be from 4-7PM on Friday January 26, 2018 at the Geilenfeld Funeral Home in Oelwein.  Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM on Saturday January 27, 2018 at the Geilenfeld Funeral Home.  A memorial fund has been established.

Freemont Lee Fish was born in Waterloo, Iowa on September 17, 1967 to parents Robert and Angie (Schnieder) Fish.  He graduated from West Delaware High School in Manchester with the class of 1986.  He then served in the United States Air Force.  He was currently employed with Prinsco in Jesup.  Freemont enjoyed NASCAR, watching westerns, listening to Hank Williams Sr. and was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan.  He will be fondly remembered for his unique sense of humor and laugh.

Left to celebrate Freemont’s life are his children: Bobbie Heibert of Fairmont, MN, Kendale Chandler of Burnsville, MN and Jodie Fish of Fairmont, MN; his father and step-mother Robert (Lynn) Fish of Seale, AL; his siblings: Mary Brewer, Raymond Fish, Dorene (Dicky) Roberts, Julie (Brian) Pauling, Bobby Berquist, Jerry Larson and Tina Haar; his grandson Jude Smitherman and one on the way; many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his mother Angie Beaman; his step-father Denny Beaman; grandmother Phyllis Banning; grandmother Cecil Fish; cousin Cody Dowd and uncle Ray Dowd.

Freemont was a very unique nice friend to hang out with. He had a great sense of humor and laugh you could never forget. And he help people in need and he was a hard worker Though 5 years has passed he will always be remembered. God Bless Freemont, friends and family

Freemont Fish was not only an amazing best friend. He was a relentless father to 3 kids. Always there for them without failure. Actually he was the kind of daddy that many kids never have. Just ask my adult kids. They R all grown now & can tell yu for themselves. Freemont I will never stop missing yu. In sure yu R somewhere telling the story about my pizza that time I forgot to add sauce. Getting one more laugh at my expense. Haha I love yu dear friend. XOXO luv Kat
