Darlyn Streit
March 17, 1930 - November 5, 2019

Darlyn Streit, 89, passed away in her sleep on November 5, 2019 at Oelwein Healthcare Center where she had been a resident for the past 3 years.  Darlyn was as generous in death, as she was in life, by donating her body to the University of Iowa College of Medicine.  There will not be services at this time.

Darlyn Ina Streit was born March 17, 1930 to parents Marvin and Edna (Manross) Ohl at their home near Littleton, IA.  She attended school in the Fairbank area.  She married Donald Spragg and they later divorced, they had four children.  She later was united in marriage with Robert (Bud) Streit and they had another daughter.

Darlyn continued her education by attending Hawkeye Institute of Technology in Waterloo, becoming an LPN.  She was a nurse at the VA Hospital in Iowa City, the Sumner Hospital in Sumner and the Desert Springs Hospital in Las Vegas.  Upon retiring, she returned to Oelwein in 1992.  She and her husband were active in the American Legion Post 9 in Oelwein where she served as President of the Legion Auxiliary from 2001-2002.  Darlyn enjoyed listening to the music and playing BINGO at Oelwein Healthcare Center.

Left to celebrate Darlyn’s life are her children: Joyce (Jim) Christensen of Cedar Falls, Eveanna Streit of Prairie du Chien, WI and Donald D. Spragg of Farmersburg; her sisters Vivian Leyh of Oelwein and Marlys (Danny) Nissen of Waterloo; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her nieces and nephews.  She will also be remembered by her good friends Dorothy Rohrick of Oelwein and Barbara White of Postville; special friends: her favorite cats Friday at the Oelwein Healthcare Center and Joe in Prairie du Chien.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert (Bud) Streit; her parents; her siblings: Lucille Hill of Oregon, Norma Strempke of Independence and Howard Ohl of Hazleton.

HAVE YOU BEEN RIPPED OF YOUR COINS---

Have you gotten your bitcoins stolen from your wallet or invested in an ICO that turned out to be a scam, you are not alone because this happened to me too. I initially lost $96,000 in just less then five months from Fake investment scam company. My friend referred me to a hacker who helped me recover all my funds within 3 days. I’m speaking up to improve awareness of these cryptocurrency thieves and help as much as i can to reduce victims to the minimum.
