Brigid Campbell, 68, of Oelwein passed away Sunday January 10, 2021 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City. There will not be any services at this time. Brigid Ann Campbell was born in Detroit, MI on August 21, 1952 to parents Richard and Isabelle (Morgan) Postel. She attended school in Winthrop, IA. Brigid managed the Paddock Lounge in Oelwein for over 20 years. More recently she bartended at the American Legion Lounge in Oelwein, and had also worked in the kitchen and reception hall there. Brigid enjoyed her time visiting with friends and was known for doing whatever she could for others.
Left to celebrate Brigid’s life are her children: Allen (Julie) Hendershott of Oelwein, Renea Hendershott of Colorado Springs, CO and Tina (Jason) Keeler of Colorado Springs, CO; her grandchildren: Emily, Eli, Charlotte and Raeanne; her siblings: Kathy Davis of Fayette, Sally Postel of Waterloo, Mary (Pat) Youngblut of Otterville, Richard (Joan) Postel of State Center, Maureen Kimmerle of Independence and Pat Postel of Hazleton; her special friend Jerry Meyer of Aurora; as well as many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Roger Campbell; and her longtime companion Donald Adams.
