Bonnie Lou Dorn (Martindale), affectionately known as Bone, passed away on March 20, 2025, at 85, in Oelwein, Iowa. Born in Imperial, Nebraska, on October 30, 1939, she spent her formative years in Fort Morgan, Colorado, before dedicating her life to her family as a lifelong homemaker.

Bonnie's nurturing nature was evident in her love for family, flowers, and her cherished Siamese cats. She found joy in life's simple pleasures, often engrossed in her favorite drama and mystery television shows, which reflected her love for intrigue and storytelling.

She is survived by her loving family: son Douglas (Kim) Dorn, grandchildren Adam (Cassandra) Dorn, and Kendra Dorn, as well as 4 great-grandchildren. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Helen (Crandall) Martindale and husband Richard “Dick” Dorn, and sister Opal (Martindale) Brown.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no memorial service. The Geilenfeld-Buehner Funeral Home in Oelwein, Iowa, is assisting the family during this time.
