Billy Lee Worth, 30, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. Visitation will be on Monday, January 29, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Geilenfeld Funeral home in Oelwein. Services will be on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Geilenfeld Funeral home with Dayna Winke officiating. Burial will be in Fontana Cemetery, rural Hazleton, Iowa. A memorial fund has been established by the family.
Billy L. Worth was born August 24, 1987 in La Crosse, Wisconsin, the son of Richard and Susan (Worth) Hayzlett. He grew up in Postville and later moved to Oelwein where he graduated from Oelwein High School in 2006. On June 11, 2011 he was united in marriage to his high school sweet heart, Alicia Mast, at the Knights of Columbus in Oelwein. Billy was a truck driver working for ADS before he became ill. He enjoyed riding his Harley, watching the Dallas Cowboys and Iowa Hawkeyes, all kinds of animals and especially his dog TO. He will always be remembered for his smile and laughter. He will be dearly missed by his family, who he dearly loved, and anyone who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Alicia, his three children, Kendra, Clay and Paityne; his siblings, Rebecca Worth of Waverly, Terease Walsh of Oelwein, Rhonda Worth of Oelwein, Nancy Medina of Independence, Toni (James) Mishler of Waterloo, Rachel (James Qinn) Vega of Postville and James Worth of Oelwein, his parents, Susan of Hawkeye and Richard of Maynard, a special aunt, Becky (Russ) Phillips and uncle Charlie (Jess) Hayzlett and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Donald and Doris Hayzlett, his maternal grandparents, John Gordon and Viola Huber, an uncle, Billy Gordon and an Uncle Jerry Hayzlett.
