Beatrice “Bea” Kay Lenz, 82, of Sumner, and formerly of Oelwein passed away Tuesday March 11, 2025 at Community Memorial Hospital in Sumner.  Private interment and graveside services will be held at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Hazleton.  The Geilenfeld-Buehner Funeral Home in Oelwein is assisting the family.

Beatrice Kay (Lenius) Lenz was born in Oelwein on January 21, 1943 to parents Albert and Wanda (Vargason) Lenius.  Bea attended Oelwein High School, graduating with the class of 1961.  On September 22, 1964 she was united in marriage with the love of her life, John Lenz in Oelwein.  Bea was a homemaker and she and John farmed East of Oelwein all their married lives.

Bea is survived by her children: David (Roxanne) Lenz of Oelwein, Denise (Travis) Gruenberg of Sumner and Julie (Ben) Kuhlmann of Sumner; her eleven grandchildren; and her seven great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
